LOOK: As Marawi City burns, the Vice President of the Philippines is partying in the U.S.A

Marawi City Crisis almost reached it’s fourth week and the government forces were still fought the Maute Terrorist Group to bring back the peace and order in the war-torn city.
Meanwhile, the Vice President of the Philippines reportedly flew to United States to socialize with her rich Filipino-American friends in Californa.
The news first published by blogger RJ “Thinking Pinoy” on his Facebook Page, at first the people still unsure if the VP really flew away in her home country in the middle of the crisis to visit the United States again.
 Blogger Mocha Uson also published another photo of Robredo together with the members of the Filipino-American community in California.

But yesterday, photos of Vice President Leni Robredo, wearing a gown together with her rich ‘kumares’ started to circulate on the internet.

“Habang padami ng padami ang mga nag sisilikas sa nasusunog na Marawi City. Busy naman sa pakikipag-sosyalan ang Pekeng Bise Presidente kasama ang mga pekeng alta sa ciudad ng Los Angeles,” she said.
She also did a short interview with Vice President Leni supporters. The woman said that the event was a fundraising for the arts with a special participation of VP Robredo. But Maharlika insisted that the fundraising was really for Robredo.
The visit of VP Robredo in California sparked outrage to the netizens who supported President Duterte and she was criticized for  allegedly prioritizing socializing with her friends than doing her job as the VP of the Philippines in the time of crisis.
According to the reports, Robredo was a guest at the fundraising gala of the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO), held at the Mary Pickford Estate on Sunday (Manila time).
The “Night of Symphony” event invited Vice President Leni Robredo. The event had been advertised as early as April.
During her speech at the event, Vice President Robredo informed the Filipino American Community that the Office of the Vice President already conducted a relief operations to help the evacuees in Mindanao.
“We just recently concluded our relief operations for families in the evacuation sites in Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, and Marawi. As we speak, our soldiers are still in battle and families have not been able to return to their homes,” she said.
“The local government unit of Marawi continues to call for donations of Halal-certified food items, malongs, breastmilk, water and water filters, as well as psychosocial intervention for the holistic healing of our brothers and sisters affected by the conflict in Marawi,” she added.
FASO said that the event was meant to help “sustain concerts and music education programs,”. Several guests of the event denied that the event was meant to fund Vice President Robredo.
